Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather
June 9, 2016Oh how this picture takes me back…. I know its majorly grainy, but this was taken in 1979. My Dad (whom btw is technically my Grandfather, on my Mother’s side, he raised me and my sisters) would always take us to the park. I distinctly remember this day because I cut my foot on glass and nearly lost my toe (or at least that was from my POV at 4 years old, in actuality I didn’t almost lose my toe, or did I?) I clearly remember my Father looking at my foot while he wipes the blood away and saying, “You’re fine! It’s just a scratch!” …. Like I said before, tough as fucken’ nails, my Dad. Anyhow, I remember playing with my cousins, Chino and Temple, rolling down the hills, basically eating grass every other spin! And boy did we love it! Which now in hind site, tastes a lot like raw kale. Mmmm, do I love my kale! Anyhow, Chino and Temple are the boy next to me and the little lady at the other end. They are my Dad’s (Grandfather’s) nephew and niece. Their mother is his sister. So I think that makes me their what?… First cousin, once removed? -_- I’m obviously the one on the end with the very long black hair. And yes, those are nick names… Btw, mine at four years old was Jack-O, (for Jacqueline Onassis) because apparently, I was “always fussing with wanting to play dress up” which I do have photos to share with you soon. Thank you for listening… Go love on your Dad! XO
